The East Bay Parks have reopened following a threat of wildfire and unhealthy smoke.

OAKLAND, CA — There are few things as humbling as walking through a towering redwood forest. Simona Ladan snapped this photo a few months ago on French Trail at Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park in Oakland.

Now that the East Bay Parks have reopened, you can once again hike amidst the giants.

And if you were saddened by the wildfire burning though Big Basin State Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains, there's good news. The redwoods are going to recover.
