ROHNERT PARK, CA — A teenage girl was hospitalized from injuries suffered in a shooting Sunday night inside a Rohnert Park restaurant, a police official said.

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety responded at 5:55 p.m. to a call about a shooting with injuries that had just taken place inside Sourdough & Co., 6356 Commerce Blvd., a police official said in a news release.

"As RPDPS Public Safety Officers arrived in the area, they quickly detained the suspect a short distance from the scene as she was fleeing on foot," Rohnert Park DPS Deputy Chief Kevin Kilgore said. "Police, fire, and medical personnel at the scene tended to the victim, who was transported to an area hospital with injuries."

Police identified the victim only as a 16-year-old girl who lives in Rohnert Park. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. She remained hospitalized in stable condition Monday, police said.

The shooting happened inside the business and a gun was recovered at the scene, according to police.

"The victim and suspect are known to each other, and this incident was not a random act of violence," Rohnert Park DPS Spokesperson J. P. Pritchard said Monday afternoon in an update.

Cutrer was arrested on suspicion of one felony count of attempted murder, one felony count of possession of a firearm without a serial number, and one felony count of child endangerment likely to cause great bodily injury, Pritchard said.

Cutrer was booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility and was being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Police asked anyone with information regarding the case to contact Rohnert Park DPS Detective Kevin Escher at 707-588-3542 and refer to case no. 22-4496.
