2 Wounded In Gang-Related Shooting In South Santa Rosa: Police
Police arrived to find bullet holes in cars that were parked in the area.
SANTA ROSA, CA — Two known gang participants sought medical treatment Monday night for gunshot wounds shortly after a shooting was reported, leading police to believe the incident in the South Park area was gang-related, a sergeant with the Santa Rosa Police Department said.
Dispatchers started receiving reports at 6:23 p.m. Monday about shots fired in the 1300 block of Grand Avenue but when officers arrived at the scene, there were no witnesses or suspects in sight, according to SRPD Sgt. Justin Farrington.
Officers did, however, find expended shell casings and bullet holes in parked cars, the sergeant said.

Not long after the shooting was reported, two known gang participants walked into separate local hospitals suffering from non life-threatening gunshot wounds, Farrington said.
Detectives from SRPD's Violent Crimes Unit and Gang Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and were working to determine whether the two gunshot victims shot one another or were shot by a third party, Farrington said.
