A man who was abalone diving with four other men died in Tomales Bay this morning, a National Park Service spokesman said.
The men were swimming away from their vessel when one of them stopped, according to John Dell’Osso, park service spokesman at the Point Reyes National Seashore. The men began CPR and eventually called for help, Dell’Osso said. They got the stricken diver back in the boat and brought him to Lawson’s Landing.
Marin County paramedics continued resuscitation efforts, but the diver was pronounced dead, Dell’Osso said.
