Another Mountain Lion Sighting Reported In Rohnert Park

An additional sighting was reported over the weekend, police said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — Another mountain lion sighting was reported over the weekend in Rohnert Park following multiple sightings Thursday, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said.

Dispatchers received a call Saturday night regarding a mountain lion sighting in the area of the Foxtail Golf Course, police said in a Nixle alert. The sighting was reported around 9 p.m. Saturday.

"Rohnert Park officers responded to the area and weren't able to locate the mountain lion," the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said. "We would like to remind citizens to exercise caution and call if they see a mountain lion."

Around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, the Rohnert Park DPS Dispatch Center received calls regarding mountain lion sightings in the area of Copeland Creek Trail between Country Club Drive and Snyder Lane, and in the area of Sunrise Park.
