Mountain Lion Sightings Reported In Rohnert Park
Multiple sightings of the creature were reported early Thursday morning, police said.
ROHNERT PARK, CA — Mountain lion sightings were reported early Thursday morning in Rohnert Park, prompting an advisory from the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
Around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, the Rohnert Park DPS Dispatch Center received calls regarding mountain lion sightings in the area of Copeland Creek Trail between Country Club Drive and Snyder Lane, and in the area of Sunrise Park.
It appeared that the mountain lion was possibly making its way back toward the hills, police said.

Officers checked the creek and park areas but did not find the mountain lion.
"Please use caution and stay aware of your surroundings when out walking, especially with pets and children," police said.
