Boy, 14, Injured In Shooting: Sonoma County Sheriff's Office
Detectives believe the shooting was gang-related and were receiving limited cooperation from witnesses.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A 14-year-old boy was injured in a shooting Monday at a park in the Bellevue area of unincorporated Santa Rosa, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies responded around 5:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting at Andy's Unity Park, 3399 Moorland Ave. and learned the boy was shot and suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, sheriff's officials said in a news release.
The boy was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The sheriff's office did not release his identity because of his age.
Detectives were called out to conduct an extensive and thorough investigation, the sheriff's office said.

"Based on the facts known at this time, the shooting is considered gang-related," the sheriff's office said. "Detectives are receiving limited cooperation from witnesses."
