Cops Question Jogging Mom's 'Assault' Story
The woman told officers she was jogging with a baby in a stroller in Rohnert Park when robbed by a man with a knife.

Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety officials said today they are no longer investigating a woman’s claim she was assaulted while jogging with her baby near a school last month.
Detectives found several inconsistencies in the woman’s account of the June 16 incident and could find no witnesses to provide additional information, according to the department. The woman also is no longer cooperating with the investigation, public safety officials said.
The woman, who was not identified, told investigators she was robbed and assaulted while jogging along the creek behind Evergreen Elementary School.

“We can find no evidence that there is any heightened threat to the community based on this report, and our creek paths are safe,” Department of Public Safety Chief Brian Masterson said in a statement.
Department officials said they will reopen the investigation if there is any information to substantiate the robbery and assault report.
