Coroner IDs Driver Killed On Rohnert Park Expressway

The 24-year-old's Audi split in half when it hit a light pole in the two-car collision.

ROHNERT PARK, CA – The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified a driver who died early Friday morning in a collision in Rohnert Park as Mo'Tasem Haddad, 24, of Rohnert Park.

Haddad was driving a 2005 Audi A6 well in excess of 40 mph in the right lane of eastbound Rohnert Park Expressway around 1:10 a.m. when he ran a red light and collided with a 2007 Lexus, Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety Sgt. Jerrod Marshall said.

The Lexus was turning left from westbound Rohnert Park Expressway onto southbound Country Club Drive when the collision with the Audi occurred, Marshall said.

The Audi split in two when it struck a light pole, according to the Department of Public Safety. Haddad was pronounced dead at the scene.
