Bicycle Safety Rodeo for 3-13

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety is sponsoring a Bicycle Safety Rodeo to increase awareness among cyclists of skills, laws and equipment needed for safe riding.

The Rodeo will be held as part of the regular Friday Market on August 10, from 5 to 7:30 pm in the Civic Center Plaza.

The Rodeo is designed primarily for young riders, ages 3 to 13, who are encouraged to bring their own bikes (or tricycles for the youngest) and helmet. the event will include a bike riding skills course, bike and helmet safety inspections, picture ID cards and games and prizes.

Four bicycles will be given away during the event, free to participants by raffle.

The Bicycle Safety Rodeo is co-sponsored by Dept. of Public Safety, Safe Kids Sonoma County, and Walmart.
