Get a taste of the Sonoma Serengeti on a splendid summer evening and help Sonoma County students learn about, and develop an appreciation for, our exquisite natural world and its magnificent inhabitants.
On Thurs., August 11 the SSU Alumni Association is hosting their wildest event of the year at Safari West in Santa Rosa, to meet some amazing animals, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and beverages, and most importantly, to raise funds for school field trips to the local wildlife preserve.
The Safari West Wildlife Foundation exists to preserve and protect wildlife through research and education, and among their activities is the provision of educational experiences for children at this unique wildlife preserve. A portion of every ticket for "Walk on the Wild Side" goes to fund field trips for students at Sonoma County schools.
