Injured Motorcyclist Found Off Cliff On Hwy 1

An injured man was found off of state Highway 1 on the Sonoma Coast in the Fisk Mill Cove area, a California State Parks officer said this afternoon.

A motorcycle, gloves, helmet and jacket were found on the shoulder of northbound Highway 1 near Kruse Ranch Road near Salt Point State Park around 5:10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Fog prevented a helicopter crew from rescuing the man this morning but he has since been rescued and will be taken to a hospital, said Officer Tim Murphy of the Salt Point State Park office.
