Man Arrested Near Walmart With Suspected Fentanyl Pills, Meth
Police said the suspect had a no-bail felony warrant out of Bakersfield for drug sales.

ROHNERT PARK, CA — A 36-year-old man was arrested after officers found hundreds of suspected counterfeit oxycodone pills believed to contain fentanyl and methamphetamine, authorities said.
Plainclothes officers with the Rohnert Park Department were conducting a proactive operation around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when they saw a man gathering signatures for a petition in front of Walmart, police said.
Officers later saw him walk behind a nearby business and reportedly smoked what appeared to be methamphetamine.

During the investigation, officers searched the suspect and his belongings and found about 350 suspected counterfeit oxycodone pills believed to be fentanyl, methamphetamine and a meth pipe, police said.
Authorities identified the suspect as Christopher J. Hernandez, 36, after determining he had initially provided a false name, authorities noted.

Police said he had a no-bail felony warrant out of Bakersfield for drug sales.
Hernandez was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of possession of narcotics for sale, methamphetamine possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false identification to law enforcement, and other related offenses.
