Milk Recall: Check Your Fridge

A Petaluma-based dairy farm announced a voluntary recall Friday of some of its milk products because of possible contamination.

Clover Stornetta Farms issued the recall for three of its items because they may contain small pieces of food grade plastic, according to a statement posted on the company’s website. The three items are 2 percent Reduced Fat Milk gallon size, 2 percent Reduced Fat Milk quart size and 2 percent Reduced Fat Milk plastic half-gallon size.

All items were distributed throughout Northern California, according to the company. The company said it decided to issue the recall because the safety of its customers is its top priority.

No complaints have been reported in connection with recalled products, company officials said.

Anyone who purchased one of the recalled items can return it to their grocery store and get a full refund, according to the company.
