Pack A Patrol Car: School Supplies Collected In Rohnert Park

ROHNERT PARK, CA — School supplies will be collected at "Pack-a-Patrol-Car" drives at two, upcoming Party of the Plaza events on Friday evenings, Aug. 19 and 26, by the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety and the Rotary Club of Rohnert Park-Cotati.

"Help us support our local schools by bringing new school supplies to the Rohnert Park Party on the Plaza and Farmers Market every Friday night the rest of August," the department said.

Among needed items : #2 pencils; colored pencils; pencil sharpeners; erasers; blue and black pens; paper; crayons; highlighters; markers; spiral notebooks; index cards; folders; glue; glue sticks; rulers; protractors; and scissors.

Rohnert Park's "Party on the Plaza," free community events with live entertainment and a farmers market, are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays, Aug. 19 and 26 at City Center Plaza on 500 City Center Drive. Look for the Rotary Club of Rohnert Park-Cotati's pop-up for donation drop-offs.

Performers at the plaza parties include: Aug. 19 — The Humdinger Band (6 p.m. - 7 p.m.) and Stax City (7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.); and Aug. 26 — Slack & Thomas Duets (6 p.m. - 7 p.m.) and The Hots (7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.).
