PG&E Outage Leaves Up To 12,000 Without Power In Sonoma County
An outage near Santa Rosa Sunday afternoon left several thousand PG&E customers, as many as 12,000 residents, without power.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Thousands of Sonoma County residents lost power Sunday afternoon following an outage near Santa Rosa. The outage was affecting as many as 12,000 residents, according to the Santa Rosa Fire Department. Just over 3,000 PG&E customers were affected, according to the utility's most recent update shortly before 4:30 p.m.
The fire department said crews responded around 3 p.m. to a "utility related incident" near Brush Creek Court. The department didn't specify the nature of the incident or its connection to the outage.
PG&E's initial estimate of 4,053 customers affected had been lowered to 3,013 by 4:24 p.m., according to the utility's website.
