Power Restored To 6,700 PG&E Customers In Rohnert Park
"This was not a public safely power shutoff situation where power was turned off for safety," a PG&E spokesperson said.
ROHNERT PARK, CA — PG&E said its crews restored power safely to approximately 5,400 Rohnert Park customers who were impacted by a power outage late Monday night and early Tuesday morning. At the peak of the outage, there were about 6,700 customers briefly impacted, according to PG&E Spokeswoman Deanna Contreras.
The outage started at approximately 9:40 p.m. and impacted customers with addresses in Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa.
All affected customers had their power restored by 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Contreras said.

"This was not a public safely power shutoff situation where power was turned off for safety," Contreras said. "This appears to be equipment failure due to something we’re still looking into at this time."
Electricity was out along Golf Course Road North; on Snyder Lane west from Golf Course Road and on Snyder to Parkway Drive; and on Petaluma Hill Road from Rohnert Park Expressway to the Santa Rosa city limits at Yolanda Avenue.

"We know the fault happened near Snyder Lane in Rohnert Park," Contreras said.
Power was not lost in other parts of the city, such as at Sonoma State University and Graton Resort & Casino.
Depending on weather conditions Tuesday, PG&E public safety power shutoffs may still affect some 33,500 people in Sonoma County.
