ROHNERT PARK, CA– Jordan Rands, general manager of the Olive Garden in Rohnert Park, has achieved Diamond Club status, the top honor at parent company Darden Restaurants. He was recognized this year for his commitment to delivering guest experiences at the highest level, while making a difference in the lives of guests and team members, as well as in his community.
This year, Rands joins a group of 44 general managers selected from the more than 850 Olive Garden restaurants in North America, making it an exclusive honor, company officials said in a news release.

"Jordan welcomes every guest and team member that comes through his restaurant doors like family," said Dan Kiernan, president of Olive Garden. "His passion for creating a vibrant, engaging team member culture make him an incredible asset to both the Rohnert Park community and our Olive Garden family."
Rands is a 38-year veteran of the restaurant industry. He started out as a dishwasher at a local restaurant when he was 15 years old, and says that is when his love for cooking and food began. He went on to excel in the workplace and in 1989, landed his first gig as a general manager.

Now, as Rands' 20th anniversary with Olive Garden is approaching this July, he attributes his professional success to the support of his family and his well-rounded team at the Redwood Drive restaurant.
"Diamond Club is a truly great honor, but I'm only as good as the people around me," Rands said. "I'm very proud of the family we have here in Rohnert Park. We all win when we win together!"
