Rohnert Park School Awarded $1,000 Education Grant
A Rohnert Park school is one of dozens in the Bay Area that will be able to fund new educational programs thanks to a grant.
ROHNERT PARK, CA — A Rohnert Park school is one of dozens in the Bay Area awarded a combined $100,000 in grants to fund programs ranging from musical instruments to Korean language classes to Chromebook laptops for students to use in classrooms.
Cross and Crown Lutheran School in Rohnert Park will use its $1,000 grant to buy seeds, plant, much and fertilizer and repair the school garden's watering system.
The grants, presented on Dec. 12 to students and teachers, were given out as part of the Wells Fargo KNBR Step Up to the Plate program, which has granted more than $1.3 million over the last 18 years.
