Rohnert Park Weekend Planner: Sept. 16-18
How about some great weekend events in town and beyond? Check it out and see if there's something for you.

Friday and Sunday:
Silent Light begins with an unforgettable sequence - a slowly unfolding, time-lapse shot of daybreak over a rural Mexican Mennonite community, whose inhabitants speak an archaic form of German (Plautdietsch) and wear traditional attire. Johan (Cornelio Wall Fehr) is a married farmer who, against the laws of his faith and traditional beliefs, falls in love with another woman, Marianne (Maria Pankratz). Martin Scorsese was amazed by this film; come and see why.
If you go: General admission is $6, $5 non-SSU students w/I.D., senior citizens and SSU faculty and staff, $4 for members and children under 12, free for students with I.D. Friday night the film begins at 7 p.m. and Sunday it begins at 4 p.m. at Warren Auditorium, Sonoma State University, 1801 E Cotati Avenue in Rohnert Park.

This tour, presentation and interactive day will leave you with an action plan to create cozy nooks within your own home and start employing energy reduction principles today.
If you go: Registration is $35 and can be done by clicking here. The tour is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Location information for specific tours and workshops will be provided to registered participants prior to the event.
Sunday:
For one day only, the swimming lagoon at Spring Lake Park is becoming an off leash dog park. There will be fantastic dog games & fun for everyone! Special note: Due to health regulations only dogs will be allowed to swim during the event.
If you go: There’s a donation of $3 per dog for Regional Park Members and $5/per dog for non-members and dogs receive a commemorative 9-inch, dog-safe, flying disc while they last.
