ROHNERT PARK, CA – Smoke from the Mendocino Complex Fire, a merging of the Ranch and River fires, engulfed Sonoma County skies earlier this week culminating in spectacular sunsets that were captured from Rohnert Park by professional photographer Al Francis.
In the first image, left, as smoke changed direction westward over Santa Rosa Monday afternoon, an intense sunset was snapped near Rohnert Park looking north during the evening's sunset.
And on Tuesday, in the picture at right, the brilliant, setting sun was photographed by Francis near the Graton Resort & Casino parking structure, west of Highway 101 in Rohnert Park.
