These areas, however, still are at risk from area fires, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said, adding that locals are advised to remain home for the day upon arrival, as traffic is expected to be heavy in the region.
"There’s going to be a lot of traffic in the area, so please drive safely; our priority is getting everyone home safely," deputies said.
To assist residents, a re-entry point will be set up at 17499 Bodega Highway in Bodega Bay, and it will be staffed from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Individuals, with homes in the burn area, will be able to obtain safety information, materials and supplies to aid with checking on properties.
"You are not required to check in if you believe your home was unaffected by fire," deputies said. "If you do stop, please make sure to adhere to COVID-19 social-distancing protocols. Residents should remain in their cars and are asked to wear a face covering."
Aside from the roads listed above, all other areas under evacuation orders still are closed, officials said.
