LNU Lightning Complex: Fires Near 352K Acres, Containment At 25%
"Fires continue to make runs in multiple directions, impacting multiple communities," Cal Fire said of now 2nd-largest fire in CA history.

NAPA, SONOMA, SOLANO, YOLO & LAKE COUNTIES, CA — The LNU Lightning Complex fires in the North Bay have burned close to 352,000 acres as of Monday evening with 25 percent containment, according to Cal Fire.
"Extreme fire behavior with short- and long-range spotting are continuing to challenge firefighting efforts," the agency said. "Fires continue to make runs in multiple directions, impacting multiple communities."
The state fire agency issued its 7:30 p.m. Monday update on the fire burning in Napa, Sonoma, Solano, Lake and Yolo counties after sparking a week ago amid lightning strikes from earlier thunderstorms that have left fires burning all around the Bay Area and elsewhere in Northern California.

At 351,817 acres, the LNU Lightning Complex is considered by Cal Fire to be the second-largest fire in state history. The SCU Lightning Complex fires currently burning in Alameda, Santa Clara, Contra Costa and other counties is the third-largest fire in California history at more than
347,000 acres.
The LNU Complex fires have left five people dead, three in Napa County and two in Solano County, destroyed 908 structures, damaged 248 others, and still threaten more than 30,500 structures, according to Cal Fire.

The two largest fires in the area are the Hennessey Fire that has burned 294,602 acres in Napa and Lake counties, with a current 29 percent containment, and the Walbridge Fire that has burned more than 54,500 acres west of Healdsburg in Sonoma County, with 7 percent containment, along with the Meyers Fire, north of Jenner, at 2,360 acres and 96 percent containment.
Some evacuation orders were downgraded to warnings Monday in Napa County. (DETAILS HERE.)
