Sonoma Co. Dad Busted For Suspected DUI After Dropping Off Son At School
BREAKING: The man also was in possession of meth and had a suspended license from multiple prior DUIs, the CHP said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A Santa Rosa man, with a suspended license and on probation, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence this morning as he was dropping off his 4-year-old child at school, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP Officer Brian Wood was patrolling Burbank Avenue at 8:30 a.m. when he clocked a Ford truck travelling at approximately 40 mph in a 25-mph school zone, the agency said.
The officer followed the truck into the Roseland Creek Elementary School parking lot where he contacted the driver, who was getting out of the vehicle with his son.

The officer noted signs of intoxication and began a DUI evaluation once the child was taken to class, the CHP said. The driver, Pedro Riveros, 41, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and stimulants and being in possession of methamphetamine.
Riveros also was on probation for numerous prior DUI convictions, had a suspended license and is required to have an ignition interlock device, but did not, the CHP said.

Riveros was booked on charges of suspicion of DUI, child endangerment, possession of methamphetamine, violation of probation, failure to have an ignition interlock device and faces charges of having more than three DUIs within 10 years.
