Sonoma State Women Drop Home Opener

Seattle Pacific beats Sonoma State Seawolves 64-49 in First Night of CCAA GNAC Challenge.

Despite a season-high 17 points from junior guard Jaclyn Bisordi, the Sonoma State women's basketball team was unable to overcome a five point halftime deficit in Friday's 64-49 loss against visiting Seattle Pacific in Rohnert Park Friday night. Since starting the season 3-0, the Seawolves have dropped three straight, moving to .500 at 3-3.

The Falcons, meanwhile, improved to 3-2.

Seattle Pacific used a monstrous 20-2 run over the course of seven minutes in the first half to race out to a 29-19 lead.  SSU closed to within one point on two occasions in the second half, but could not regain the lead.  Aly Conway led the Seawolves with 10 rebounds.

"When you're playing against that caliber of player, you have to be much more aggressive, much more passionate about what you're doing, and they [Seattle Pacific] were…they came off losing two games in row, and they came in to take our lunch money, and they did," said Sonoma State Head Coach Mark Rigby.
