The Pacific Islander Festival Hits the City Center Plaza

The second annual fundraising event benefiting Warriors Football takes over the plaza next Saturday.

For the second year in a row the local Warrior Youth Football and Cheer group are hosting a big fundraiser at the Plaza. They are inviting everyone to come down and enjoy an all-day event that is for the entire community!

They will be bringing time honored Polynesian traditions in music, dance, food, arts, and crafts from the South Pacific directly to Rohnert Park.

Along with vendors and other booths there will be a silent auction and raffle to help raise funds for the Warriors program. Money raised goes directly back to the local community.

The Rohnert Park Warriors is a non-profit youth sports organization for kids ages 5 to 15. They were founded in 2007 with a mission of developing and promoting the ideals of responsibility, hard work, sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and commitment in all children all while participating in a safe, encouraging, and positive sports environment.

The dedication of the volunteers, caring parents and business associates around the Rohnert Park-Cotati area help achieve these goals. In addition, each year the program gives over 15 scholarships to assist families to help with registration costs, uniforms, and more that might not be able to afford to otherwise participate.

The event is being held at the City Center Plaza July 28 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more information you can visit their webpage or on their Facebook Event page.
