Are you looking for something to do this Fourth of July weekend? Check out some of the things on the Rohnert Park Calendar and see if there's something for you.

Friday:
How about hitting the Friday Night Farmers Market for your weekend’s picnic fixins’? While you’re there, check out out the arts and crafts and stay around for the great music. This week it’s local band "Weekend at Bernies."
If you go: The market opens from 5 p.m. and lasts till 8 p.m. in the parking lot of the Rohnert Park-Cotati Regional Library and adjoining City Center Plaza in Rohnert Park. Remember to bring your bags!

Saturday:
What better way to start the Fourth of July weekend then a pancake breakfast? The Rancho Adobe Firefighters Association hosts their annual pancake breakfast today. The yummy breakfast includes eggs, sausage and of course, pancakes!

If you go: The pancakes flip from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Rancho Adobe Fire Dept. #2, 11000 Main St. (at the corner of Old Redwood Highway) in Penngrove.
Saturday:
An evening of diverse entertainment, music and dance. Presented by the Rohnert Park Sister City Committee, this concert is all about celebrating the human spirit and the strength of world community. Proceeds support Japan Relief.
If you go: Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Call 707-585-6791. Seating is limited. The concert is from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the , 5409 Snyder Lane in Rohnert Park.
Sunday:
Penngrove starts celebrating July 4th early with a parade on Main Street followed by a delicious picnic that includes barbecue beef, chicken, hot dogs and oysters. Stick around for the fun games, cool craft booths, and awesome music by Charlie Baker. Ready for an "Old Fashion American Apple Pie” contest? Bring your best pie to the park! Proceeds maintain the Penngrove Social Firemen’s Community Clubhouse and the park.
If you go: The fun starts at 11 a.m. on Main Street and the barbecue is in Penngrove Park, Main Street near Old Redwood Highway in Penngrove. Please remember to leave your dogs and coolers at home today as they’re not allowed.
Monday:
The City of Petaluma and Petaluma Kiwanis are proud to once again host the July 4th Fireworks Celebration with the best light show yet! With live music, tarot card readers, balloon art face painting, and awesome food booths there’s something for everyone in the family. The Opening Ceremony begins at 4:15 p.m. and the music kicks in at 4:30 with Clean Slate B.R.O.S. delivering a mix of blues, rock, oldies and soul. Then get ready to be rocked by Rock Skool for a solid three hours, starting at 6:00 p.m. The Fireworks begin at dusk or around 9:15 p.m.
If you go: Admission is $2 per person and children under 6 are free. The fun goes on from 4 p.m. till 10 p.m. at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds. The festivities will start earlier than the fireworks, so come on by and enjoy food, drinks, and desserts from local concessionaires. Make sure to bring low lawn chairs, blankets, warm clothes, and flashlights. BBQ grills, alcohol, pets, contraband or fireworks of any kind are not permitted. Parking is free.
