Friday:
The first major event of the year for the North Bay Active 20/30 Club is coming up this Friday — the “It’s For the Kids” Golf Tournament at . This year’s theme is “Gilligan’s Island." The Active 20-30 club is committed to helping disadvantaged kids in Sonoma County. Proceeds from this event support local charities and projects. Thier goal for this year is to take 150 children for back to school and bring back the bike rodeo and giveaway.
If you go: The price for pre-registration is $135 per person. This includes food and drinks on the golf course, dinner, silent and live auctions. Sign up online by clicking here. The event starts at 11 a.m. at Foxtail Golf Course, 100 Golf Course Drive in Rohnert Park.
Friday:
The community is invited to join Valley End Farm and the this Friday in an all local farm dinner. These family style dinners include fresh produce from the Valley End Farm as well as wonderful offerings from other local farms, ranches and wineries. A wine tasting with appetizers begins at 6:30 p.m. and dinner seating is at 7 p.m. Chef Don Nolan has been creating fantastic and delicious dinners. Meet the farmers, the chef and have a great dinner all the while knowing that you’re helping to support the local economy.

If you go: Dinner is $35 and includes the wine tasting and dessert. Dishes are served family style. Call 707-586-4679 for reservations The Doubletree Hotel is at 1 Doubletree Drive in Rohnert Park.
Saturday:
The Leprechauns, the Cotati/Rohnert Park American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life team, invites you and your dog to join in a walk at Cotati’s La Plaza Park this Saturday to raise funds and awareness for American Cancer Society's fight against cancer, in both humans and in pets. Owners are asked to register their dogs for the walk, $25 for the first dog, $10 for each additional dog.

For each registered dog, the owner is entered into a door-prize drawing. Also, awards are given for the owner showing the most relay spirit and for the best relay dog. Included in the day will be demonstrations, contests, games, a professional photographer and a silent auction.
If you go: Registration starts at 8 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. Dogs must be leashed and the owners be prepared (bring those plastic bags) to clean up after their dogs. La Plaza Park is at Old Redwood Hwy. and West Sierra Ave. in Cotati.
