Woman Nearly Raped At Knifepoint, Held Captive In Apartment: Cops
The 25-year-old said she went to man's Rohnert Park home to retrieve books when she was choked, bit, had clothes ripped off, officials said.

ROHNERT PARK, CA – A Rohnert Park man was arrested on numerous charges, including suspected sexual-assault attempt and kidnapping, after a female said she was held captive at knifepoint, attacked, bit, choked and finally broke free, fleeing his home to call police early Thursday, according to authorities.
Sergio Heredia-Trujillo, 25, allegedly had the victim's torn underwear and cell phone in his pocket when he was arrested outside his Rohnert Park apartment on Joanne Court, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
At 3:22 a.m., police received a 911 call from the 25-year-old woman, who said she went at 10 p.m. Wednesday to Heredia-Trujillo's residence to get back get some school books she had loaned him, and after they talked a bit, he would not let her leave, took her cell phone, threatened her with a knife and made her take off her shirt, the department said.

"The victim said at one point Heredia-Trujillo pulled her pants down and ripped her underwear off of her, but she was able to pull her pants back up," police said. "The victim told detectives that when Heredia-Trujillo threatened her with the knife, he told her to get back into the bedroom, after they had moved out into the living room area, and told her to stay quiet or he would kill her."
"She also said Heredia-Trujillo had choked her and bit her neck as he was holding her on the bed, but he never completed the sexual assault. She said he did, however, touch areas of her body over her clothing," the agency said, adding that the woman claimed she had no prior relationship with the suspect, calling him "just an acquaintance."

The female told police she eventually made it out of the apartment, knocked on neighboring doors for help but got no responses, and went to car, but reportedly found Heredia-Trujillo waiting there, police said.
She again ran off and finally was admitted into a nearby apartment from where she called 911.
As officers arrived to speak with the victim, another call came in regarding a man on Joanne Court smashing a parked car's window. Heredia-Trujillo, spotted walking toward his apartment, matched the description of the male who had vandalized the vehicle, police said.
Heredia-Trujillo was arrested, displayed "signs of alcohol intoxication" and purportedly found in his pockets, along with the underwear and victim's phone, police found pieces of glass, the department said, adding that six cars were logged in the area with broken windows.
After obtaining a search warrant for Heredia-Trujillo’s apartment, detectives said they found a knife on a bedroom shelf near the door -- that matched the woman's description and where she said she last saw it.
Investigators also located the victim’s shirt on the bedroom floor and torn pieces of her underwear in the bedroom garbage, police said.
Heredia-Trujillo was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on $50,000 bail on charges of suspicion of assault with intent to commit rape, assault with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, kidnapping and sexual battery.
