Woman Sentenced To 36 Years for Child Sexual Abuse, Drug Charges
A judge called the acts "extremely hurtful and traumatic" and ordered the woman be registered as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
SANTA ROSA, CA — A Santa Rosa woman was sentenced to 36 years in state prison for sexually abusing a child and providing drugs to a minor, following a no-contest plea to multiple felony charges, prosecutors said.
Christina Renee Whisman, 45, pleaded no contest in November to three counts of committing lewd acts on a child under 14 by force, fear or duress, one count of providing cocaine to a minor, and an additional count of child molestation, according to the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office.
The case grew out of a May 2024 investigation launched after Santa Rosa police received a report from a mandated reporter — someone who would have had regular contact with the victims through their work — that Whisman hosted parties at her home involving alcohol, drugs, and underage children, prosecutors said. One victim later disclosed years of grooming and sexual abuse, authorities said, leading to Whisman’s arrest in December 2024, according to the D.A.'s office.

Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Paige Hein sentenced the woman on Thursday.
At sentencing, Hein called the acts “extremely hurtful and traumatic” and imposed an aggravated term of 10 years for each of the three molestation counts, along with an additional six years for providing cocaine to a minor. Whisman was ordered to register as a sex offender permanently.
