The suspect reportedly entered the victim's apartment through an unlocked window, police said.

SANTA ROSA, CA – A woman was attacked in her home over the weekend in Santa Rosa by a 22-year-old transient, who allegedly entered the apartment through a window and began masturbating in her bathroom as she showered, according to authorities.

The female was in the shower at 10:35 p.m. Saturday in her residence on the 900 block of Sonoma Avenue when "she sensed someone was in the bathroom," pulled back the shower curtain and saw the male stranger masturbating, the Santa Rosa Police Department said.

The victim yelled for him leave and pushed the suspect, later identified as Paul Allen Turpin a homeless man from Santa Rosa, police said. The male reportedly pushed back, pinning the woman against the wall of the shower. She again yelled for him to leave, and he fled the apartment, the agency said.
