For the remainder of December, the contractor will be completing sidewalk work to ensure proper drainage. Crews will also be finishing street light work. New streetlights were installed in front of Rancho Cotate High School and installation will continue north of Copeland Creek.

The City has also coordinated with PG&E to upgrade and relocate the electrical lines north of the creek starting the week after Christmas. PG&E is scheduled to begin relocating their electrical systems to the sidewalk at the west side of Snyder Lane. Residents can expect some delays and a possible partial closure of that sidewalk area. PG&E is scheduled to have this portion of work completed by the end of January.

Rohnert Park Expressway

Due to the weather, construction work has slowed along RPX. The remaining work consists of asphalt paving, which is temperature sensitive. When the weather permits Rohnert Park Expressway paving will be completed. Information will be provided as this work gets rescheduled.

Brookfield Homes Vast Oaks RPX Project

This year, the Brookfield Homes development has made significant progress. The developer and contractor have connected to the existing utilities on Snyder Lane and installed infrastructure along Rohnert Park Expressway to the Vast Oaks development. This works includes a new traffic control video detection system, a new low pressure drinking water distribution main and additional fire hydrants, a new high pressure drinking water distribution main, a new recycled water distribution main, storm drain and catch basin system and a new sanitary sewer system.

Thank you again for your patience while these projects are being completed. If you have questions or concerns about construction activities, please call the project hotline at 707-540-9955.
