Here are the top five stories in Roseville today:

  1. Caltrans is alerting motorists to expect closures of the Interstate 80 (I-80) westbound on-ramp at Atlantic Street overnight on tonight. The $12 million project is expanding the width of the Atlantic Street onramp to three lanes and replacing the Miner’s Ravine Bridge. (dot.ca.gov)
  2. A mural of a beloved long-time Lincoln resident and teacher had been vandalized to such an extent it was scheduled to be removed. Former Art League of Lincoln President Jean Cross couldn't let that happen. She took a little bell paint remover and a lot of elbow grease to it and was able to scrub all of the graffiti off the beloved mural. It will remain on the wall behind Simple Pleasures at 648 5th St. (The Placer Herald)
  3. Roseville is under a Stage 2 drought restriction, which includes watering day restrictions and a 20 percent reduction citywide. You can see a full list of restrictions here. Questions about which days you can water and other FAQs can be found here. (roseville.ca.us)
  4. Folsom Palladio's free concert series is back starting Saturday! It is held on the second Saturday of every month through October in the Piazza at Palladio. The series kicks off with Hip Service playing starting at 8. Right across the way, Buckhorn BBQ will be hosting a Beer and Wine Garden for those 21-years-old and over. Come out and enjoy the fun! (ABC10.com KXTV)
  5. According to an announcement from the City of Rocklin, "the four-way traffic signal at the intersection of Rocklin Road and Pacific Street will be removed and converted to a three-way stop sign, beginning on Tuesday, June 14. Rocklin Road between Pacific Street and Railroad Avenue will also be closed and detours put in place. The changes will be active for approximately 10 weeks. ... Access to businesses, which remain open during construction, will be preserved, some along the alley from the Oak Street side." (rocklin.ca.us)
