1. Gas prices are spiking across California due to the war in Ukraine, and Roseville is no exception. GasBuddy data from Monday, Mar. 7, shows that average gasoline prices in the greater Sacramento area have risen 49.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $5.22 per gallon. As of yesterday, Roseville’s lowest gas price was $4.54 per gallon at Safeway on Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. (Roseville Today)
2. On Monday, retail chain Mike's Bikes has announced its acquisition of Roseville Cyclery on Vernon Street. The shop has been renamed Mike's Bikes of Roseville, making it the 14th Mike's Bikes location and the first new one since the company was itself acquired last year by Pon Holdings. Oliver and Yi Bell, who opened Roseville Cyclery in 2013, will continue with the company, according to a news release. (Bicycle Retailer)
