2. Events Surrounding the AAEC Convention (dailycartoonist.com) — Sacramento is hosting the national Association of American Editorial Cartoonists convention September 18–19, with public programs stretching through October 16 at venues across the city. 3. Sacramento halts North Natomas 'micro community' for the unhoused (kcra.com) — Sacramento has put the brakes on a planned 40-unit tiny home community for unhoused residents 55 and older in North Natomas, citing flood-zone complications and rising costs above $7 million. Because the price tag exceeds the city manager's approval limit, the project now needs full council authorization while two other proposed micro-community sites continue moving forward.
