Pedestrian safety projects coming to 7 Sacramento schools (fox40.com) — Sacramento families will see new safety upgrades near seven local schools after the City Council approved a $2.25 million Vision Zero project. Expect improved crosswalks, curb ramps, signals, and loading areas designed to make walking and biking to campuses like West Campus High and William Land Elementary safer and more comfortable.
   

2. Nine downtown Sacramento businesses burglarized in 24-hour spree (kcra.com) — A string of nine burglaries in downtown Sacramento this week has left small businesses with broken windows, stolen goods, and unexpected repair bills. Owners and customers are frustrated by the damage and what they see as poor communication from business groups, while police say they have no suspect information yet.
   

3. Aeromexico and Sacramento Airport Mark Key Milestones (travelhost.com) — Sacramento International Airport just added three well-known local brands—Temple Coffee, Nixtaco, and Bawk!—to Terminal B, expanding food and retail options for travelers. At the same time, the airport is celebrating 15 years of Aeromexico service, including seasonal nonstop flights to Guadalajara that help local residents maintain family, business, and cultural ties with Mexico.
   

4. 'Joy can disrupt trauma.' Ashley Faison-Maddox builds support for trafficking survivors (sacbee.com) — A Sacramento-based survivor is using her own experience to build the Diamond Collective, a nonprofit that supports human trafficking survivors and their children across the Sacramento region. From ballet outings to kayaking and even international trips, the group focuses on joy, healing experiences, and long-term support. Her work recently earned recognition as Assemblymember Josh Hoover's 2026 Woman of the Year.
   

5. Slay Bells & Sequins at Memorial Auditorium Sacramento (Dec 5, 2026) (broadwayworld.com) — Sacramento's Memorial Auditorium will host the Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus holiday show "Slay Bells & Sequins" on Saturday, December 5, with performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Expect campy twists on holiday classics, theatrical characters like a flamboyant Rudolph, and big choral sound, with the option to avoid online ticket fees by calling the box office directly.
