Students at Merryhill Preschools Donate 300 School Supplies Items

Students held a school supply drive to benefit La Familia Counseling Center in Sacramento

Students at Merryhill Preschools in Davis and on Danbrook Drive and Karista Avenue in Natomas recently donated 300 school supplies items to La Familia Counseling Center, an organization providing support services to low income, at-risk youth and families in Sacramento County. Students collected a variety of school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, writing utensils, and more, to help students prepare for the new school year.

Merryhill Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond, working with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
