Long-Vacant Property Moves Toward Commercial Development (iecn.com) — San Bernardino is moving forward on redeveloping the long-vacant 17.6-acre Arden Guthrie property near the 210 Freeway, selecting Panorama Development as its preferred partner. Over the next several years, the project could bring new shops, jobs, and tax revenue, with community input, environmental review, and negotiations shaping what ultimately gets built on this high-visibility site.
   

2. San Bernardino moves to stop the unhoused from sleeping in parks; and on streets and sidewalks (sbsun.com) — San Bernardino leaders have advanced stricter anti-camping rules that would bar unhoused residents from sleeping in city parks, streets, sidewalks and bus benches, with 72-hour notice and property storage requirements. 3. Fuerza Regida Awarded Key to City of San Bernardino, Announces Sports, Music and Performing Arts Center (iecn.com) — San Bernardino students packed the California Theatre as hometown band Fuerza Regida received the Key to the City and announced plans for a new youth community center in town. City leaders and the group say the still-unnamed center will focus on activities like boxing, arts and STEM fields, with funding and location details to be worked out in upcoming discussions.
   

4. Breaking: Cima Fire reported in San Bernardino County on Sep. 21 (sacbee.com) — A new wildfire named the Cima Fire was reported Monday evening on federal land in San Bernardino County, with officials still determining its cause and containment status. Local residents should stay alert for updates from fire authorities as conditions evolve and potential impacts on air quality, travel, or nearby communities become clearer.
