San Diego Snorkeling
The underwater geography of the San Diego area is unlike any other, featuring rocky reefs, kelp beds, sand flats and even canyons. Perhaps one of the friendliest destinations for family snorkeling, this part of the world is best known for it's snorkeling in La Jolla Ecological Reserve.
The ocean here is calm, and the visibility is incredible- making it the perfect place to enjoy a day snorkeling in the sea. The waters offer the perfect experience for both novice snorkelers and beach goers alike. Between the months of June and December, snorkeling here can be particularly special when thousands of pregnant lemon sharks migrate to the beaches near La Jolla Cove, where the conditions are just right to raise their young. It's these unique features that make ocean sports, like snorkeling, an experience unlike any other.
