SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should know that wet weather isn't over yet. Another storm system is expected to bring more rain, mountain snow and gusty winds to the region next weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

"Periods of gusty winds in the mountains and deserts expected this week. Areas of drizzle possible west of the mountains Tuesday morning," NWS San Diego forecasters wrote Sunday. "Conditions are expected to gradually warm through the middle of the week. Another storm system will likely bring additional rain, mountain snow, and gusty winds to the area next weekend."

In other news, First lady Jill Biden arrived in the Coachella Valley Saturday as part of a Southern California fundraising swing. She is scheduled to attend another event Monday in Los Angeles as part of the White House initiative on Women's Health Research.

No one won the massive Powerball jackpot Saturday, but the drawing made one lucky resident an overnight multimillionaire. A ticket with five of the winning numbers was sold in Sun Valley. The ticket is worth more than $2.4 million, according to the California Lottery.

A Mega Millions ticket with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, was sold at a gas station in Riverside County. The ticket is worth $736,435, according to the California Lottery.

A 4-year-old girl was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Long Beach, authorities said.
