Army Veteran Reported Missing; Car Found Abandoned In San Diego
A friend received a text message from Julia Jacobson's cell phone last Saturday stating that she was in the Palm Springs area, police said.
SAN DIEGO, CA – San Diego police are seeking the public's help in finding an Army veteran who went missing over the Labor Day weekend.
Julia Jacobson, 37, was last seen about 6:30 a.m. last Saturday with her wheaten terrier, Boogie, at a 7-Eleven store in the 9600 block of Aero Drive in Serra Mesa, according to a social media page dedicated to finding the woman.
A friend received a text message from Jacobson's cell phone around 9:30 p.m. that night stating that she was in the Palm Springs area, but her actual location was unknown, according to the San Diego Police Department. At the time of her disappearance, Jacobson may have been planning to travel to Palm Springs or Big Bear, her sister stated on the "Help Find Julia Jacobson" Facebook page.

Jacobson's white Chevrolet Equinox SUV was found abandoned Thursday morning in the 2600 block of Monroe Avenue, a few blocks from her home in the Normal Heights neighborhood of San Diego, according to police.
"Her family is extremely concerned for her safety and she has never gone missing in the past," police said.

Jacobson, a 7-Eleven employee and Army veteran, is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds. She has brown eyes and long blond hair. She has a tattoo on her hip of a crab holding a flower.
