Average ​Gas Price Sets 11th Record In 13 Days In San Diego Area

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline hit another record high Monday in San Diego County.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline hit another record high Monday in San Diego County.

The average price increased a half-cent Monday to a record of $4.847. A record high of $4.725, which was set Oct. 8, 2012, was broken when the average price hit $4.726 on Feb. 16. The average price in the county has since set 11 records in the past 13 days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price was $4.842 Sunday, $4.744 one week ago, $4.622 one month ago, and $3.719 one year ago.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in California was $4.827 Monday, while the average national price was $3.610, according to AAA.
