Average Gas Price Sets 21st Record In 23 Days In San Diego Area
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline hit another record high Thursday in San Diego County.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline hit another record high Thursday in San Diego County.
The average price increased 10.9 cents to $5.711, the 21st record in the past 23 days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price was $5.602 Wednesday, $4.975 one week ago, $4.699 one month ago, and $3.822 one year ago.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in California was $5.694 Thursday, while the average national price was $4.318, according to AAA.
"Since the New Year, the national average has continued a steady climb due to strained supply and increased demand," a news release from AAA said. "But Russia's invasion of Ukraine in late February caused oil prices to spike further and in the 14 days since the conflict began, the national average has risen 70 cents and Southern California prices have risen by 83 cents (as of Wednesday)."
