SAN DIEGO, CA — A U.S. Coast Guard team interdicted four suspected migrants about 5 miles off Point Loma, officials said.

Watchstanders at the Joint Harbor Operations Center received a report around 4 p.m. Wednesday of a suspicious 20-foot vessel heading north toward Mission Bay and directed a boarding team assigned to Maritime Safety and Security Team San Francisco to investigate, according to the Coast Guard.

The team approached the vessel and gained compliance without using force, the Coast Guard said.
