WHO:
Curebound, a San Diego-based philanthropic organization accelerating cures for cancer, presents Curebound Cancer Challenge (formerly Padres Pedal the Cause) — a dynamic day-longevent uniting the community to raise critical funds for early-stage cancer research. So far, Curebound has funded $43+ million in cancer research, awarding 143 grants for 23 types of pediatric and adult cancers with one vision: cures in our lifetime.
WHAT:
The Curebound Cancer Challenge (formerly Padres Pedal the Cause) invites participants to join in a series of athletic events, volunteerism and fundraising — including bike rides, a 10K and 5K run/walk, and spin classes — in support of world-class cancer research. 100% of every dollar raised will support cutting-edge research at top San Diego institutions including UC San Diego, Salk Institute, Sanford Burnham Prebys, La Jolla Institute of Immunology, and Scripps Research.
THE DAY WILL FEATURE:
- 25, 55, and 75-mile bike routes along a NEW scenic Torrey Pines coastline
- A 10K run and family-friendly 5K walk/run
- Four 50-minute spin classes
- Live entertainment, family activities, a Team Village, and more
