SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should know that the region will get a break from the heat as it is expected to be cooler and breezy with a chance of rain.
"It will be noticeably cooler (Sunday), and even cooler on Monday as the low passes with more clouds and scattered showers," NWS San Diego wrote Sunday. "Overall, rainfall will be light. Dry and warmer weather returns Tuesday, but elevated moisture levels and weak disturbances drifting in off the Pacific will maintain more clouds, and small chances of light rainfall around the middle of the week."

Nine San Diego area residents became ill with Salmonella after consuming raw milk or milk products from Fresno-based Raw Farm LLC. The cases ranged from people ages 1 to 41, with three children hospitalized, according to county officials.
