SAN DIEGO, CA – A predawn fire damaged two neighboring City Heights homes Tuesday, leaving a dozen residents in need of emergency lodging.
Rubbish began burning between the houses in the 3300 block of Chamoune Avenue for unknown reasons at about 2 a.m., and the flames soon spread into the structures, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Crews had the non-injury blaze under control within about 10 minutes of their arrival at the scene, city spokesman Jose Ysea said.
