This newly completed 1,200 sqft, 3BR/3BA ADU in Chula Vista shows what’s possible when you design around the unique shape of a backyard.
With angled walls, creative bump-outs, and an unconventional footprint, this custom design makes the most of the available space while delivering a spacious, functional home.
Inside, the open-concept living area flows into a generous kitchen with a large island and open shelving. Two bedrooms feature ensuite bathrooms, and an attic adds valuable storage space.
The homeowners designed this ADU with two generations in mind: a home for their son and his family today, and a place for themselves to downsize into later. Matching stucco and a tile roof tie the uniquely shaped ADU back to the main house.
