The Corner Drafthouse Celebrates 3 Years In Bankers Hill
Marking the milestone, the San Diego eatery has introduced new menu items, including a Cubano sandwich and new burgers.

SAN DIEGO, CA — The Corner Drafthouse, a Bankers Hill gastropub and restaurant, last week celebrated its third year in business in the San Diego neighborhood, and has added new offerings to its "comfort food" menu.
Known for its craft beers, happy-hour specials and "seasonal, West Coast comfort food," crafted by Executive Chef Ruben Zamarripa, the eatery at 495 Laurel St., now has introduced three new menu features: a Cubano Sandwich; a Ground Pork and Soyrizo Burger; and a Grilled Portabella Burger.
The restaurant's co-owners, David Creviston and Dan Sobek, who also operate The Bier Garden of Encinitas, said they are pleased with The Corner Drafthouse's success.

“We’re ecstatic with how the Bankers Hill neighborhood has embraced and accepted us into their tight-knit community,” Creviston said. “Hitting the three-year milestone in the competitive San Diego restaurant business is an achievement that has far exceeded our expectations; we owe much of our success to our dedicated employees, we could have never achieved this without their hard work.”
The gastropub is located one block from Balboa Park and offers 70 local craft beers on tap, plus "regulars" can enjoy the Mug Club, which "offers beer enthusiasts an exclusive beer drinking experience with discount perks and the opportunity to partake in their 70 Beers in 70 Days Challenge. The challenge requires members to finish one pint each of the 70 beers available on tap within 70 days. Once completed, the member receives an engraved name plaque on the side of the bar to boast their victory," management said.
