Coronavirus Cases Grow To 159 In San Diego County
Coronavirus cases have been confirmed in many cities and unincorporated areas in San Diego County.
SAN DIEGO, CA — The number of confirmed cases of new coronavirus continues to rise in San Diego County, with an additional 28 cases reported Saturday.
There are now 159 cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, in the county. Thirty-four people have been hospitalized, with 13 in intensive care. There have been no deaths.
A total of 135 county residents have tested positive for COVID-19 as well as 11 people under federal quarantine at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and 13 non-county residents, according to officials.

Of the cases, 54 are women and 104 are men. One is unknown.

It was the largest one-day increase in the county yet, with two cases now involving county residents between the ages of 10-19. One of those individuals is 19 years old, officials confirmed.
The vast majority – 122 cases – of those who have tested positive have been under the age of 60.
As of Saturday, cases have been confirmed in the cities of Carlsbad, Chula Vista, Del Mar, El Cajon, Encinitas, Escondido, National City, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego, San Marcos, Santee, Solana Beach and Vista, as well as the unincorporated areas of Fallbrook, Ramona and Rancho Santa Fe.
